How to Adopt a Ragdoll
We've moved to a per-kitten application process. Rather than a first-come waitlist, we thoughtfully match each kitten to the home that best fits its individual personality. Applying doesn't guarantee a specific kitten - it helps us get to know your household so we can make the best match for you and the kitten.
Step 1:
Apply When a Litter Opens
When a litter is ready at 8 weeks, we post each kitten's photos and personality, then open applications for a short window (about 10-14 days). Apply through our application form for that litter, or text Kathleen at 970-481-1582 with any questions (we respond within 24 hours).
If we select your family, we'll reach out within about 3 days of the close date. A $300 non-refundable deposit reserves your kitten. Selected families have 2 days to place the deposit and sign the adoption agreement. You can send the deposit using one of these options:

Once you accept a kitten and place your deposit, that kitten is reserved for your family.
The $300 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable once you accept a kitten - with one important exception: if a kitten passes away or is found unhealthy before go-home, your deposit is fully refunded or transferred to your next choice of litter. That protection is ours to honor.
Step 2:
We Match Each Kitten to Its Best-Fit Home
Take a look at our Available Kittens page to see if there's an upcoming litter you're interested in. When applications close, we thoughtfully match each kitten to its best-fit home based on temperament and each family's household - it's a match, not first-come or a lottery.
Step 3:
Final Payment and Kitten Pickup Day
When it’s time for pickup, you’ll:
Pay the final adoption amount. The total adoption fee for a Ragdoll kitten ranges from $2,200–$2,800, depending on the kitten. Your $300 deposit will be applied toward this fee.
Sign the adoption paperwork
Ask any final questions
Many families like to prepare a cozy, safe room for their new kitten to adjust to their new home.

Do you have kittens available?
When kittens are available to select, they will show up on the available kittens page. We also will have upcoming kittens listed on that page as well.
What have the kittens been eating?
We will provide samples of both wet and dry food for you to take home. We recommend a high quality (no by-products) kitten food for the first year. We feed our kittens soft food 2 times a day. Depending on the kitten, they will eat about 1-2 tablespoons of soft food morning and evening.
When can I bring a kitten home?
Kittens go home around 12 weeks of age. Kittens learn important social skills from their litter mates and mother the first 12 weeks. Even though they start eating solid food by four weeks, they continue to nurse off and on until 12 weeks. Separating kittens from their mother much before this could be detrimental to the kitten.
What kind of litter do you use?
We use a clay clumping litter “Scoop Away”. Costco carries this brand. I recommend a no scent or light scent litter to start.
We also use Pretty Litter. We can discuss the pros and cons of each during your visit.
